Neuronic App Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Neuronic App works, what data we collect, how we use it, and what you agree to by using the app.
Language and Compliance
The Neuronic App is currently available only in English. Our data handling practices and app features are developed with a primary focus on compliance with regulations in the United States. Support for other languages or regional compliance standards may be added in the future.
Availability
We aim to make the Neuronic App available on Android and Apple devices. However, availability depends on your local app store regulations, and we cannot guarantee access in every country.
The purchase contract with Neuronic does not include a service guarantee for the app. The app is currently free. In the future, certain features may only be available with a paid subscription.
Use Without the App
The Neuronic LIGHT device can be used without the app. However, using the app unlocks features, including:
- Protocol customization
- Progress tracking
- Device syncing.
By using the app, you agree that your anonymized data may contribute to:
- Ongoing research into photobiomodulation (PBM)
- Improvements in PBM protocols and user outcomes
- Community efforts to understand and optimize PBM protocols through real-world insights.
Data We Collect
When you use the Neuronic App, we collect the following:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Optional health-related information (e.g., treatment preferences, symptoms, session logs)
- All app usage data, including session behavior, feature usage, and device interactions
Your data is stored securely using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Your personal data (name, email address) will not be shared with third parties, except where required to provide the service (e.g., cloud storage providers like AWS).
Any data shared with third-party collaborators (such as research institutions or universities) will be anonymized and used strictly for scientific and research purposes.
Your Choices
- Anonymous use is not possible — registration is required to use the app
- You cannot opt out of research data usage — by using the app, you agree that anonymized data may be used to improve PBM protocols
- You can delete your account directly through the app under Profile Settings
- There is no service guarantee for the app — functionality may change, and some features may become paid in the future
Use by Children and Minors
The Neuronic App is intended for use by adults age 18 and older. Children under 18 are not permitted to use the app independently. However, parents, legal guardians, or licensed healthcare providers may create and manage accounts for minors, including children under 13, with appropriate consent.
By registering an account on behalf of a child, the adult user confirms that they have legal authority to do so and agrees to manage the child’s data responsibly, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The Neuronic App may collect limited personal or health-related data about a child (e.g., session logs, symptoms, progress tracking) when entered by the adult user. This data is stored securely and used only for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, including contributing to anonymized research.
We do not knowingly permit children to register accounts directly. If we learn that a child has registered without verified adult consent, we will delete the account and associated data.
