What is a qEEG?
Quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) is a non-invasive test that records brain electrical activity. It involves placing 19 small sensors on the scalp using conductive gel or saline-soaked sponges to record the electrical signals produced by the brain.
The test is painless, and the recorded data is analyzed by Neuronic's consultation team, who are experts in this analysis.
Why should clients obtain a qEEG brain map?
During the consultation, Neuronic consultants use qEEG data to identify the specific areas of the brain that show neurophysiological inefficiencies. With this information, we can program the Neuradiant 1070 to improve those areas that present challenges and avoid overstimulation of the other areas of the brain.
Finding a qEEG Provider
For your convenience, we have included a list of some qEEG providers in this map.
Please note that you may find other qEEG providers in your local area.
If you are interested in being added to the map and becoming a qEEG provider please contact consultation@neuronic.online
You may also use the following resources and databases to find a qEEG provider:
What are the qEEG technical requirements needed for Neuronic Consultation?
Neuronic has specific requirements that the qEEG provider must follow when conducting an EEG test.
Please ask your qEEG provider if they can follow the requirements listed before scheduling your qEEG appointment.
qEEG Requirements
- Eyes Open (EO) and Eyes Closed (EC).
- 19 channels of surface electrical activity are simultaneously recorded.
- Maximum time requirements: 10 minutes with eyes open and 10 minutes eyes closed.
- Maximum impedance 10 kΩ and Neuroguide reliability measures both split half and test retest = > 0.90
- No additional task conditions are required for this assessment
- Linked ears reference.
- 19-channel amplifier that outputs .edf or .edf+ or .ng file formatted data.
- EEG raw data output file must be compatible with Neuroguide™, generally 8-10MB in size.
Raw data results must be sent to you or a Neuronic consultant. The consultant will then analyze the raw data to create a protocol for the Neuradiant helmet.
E-mail the data files to consultation@neuronic.online
